Ok, Gerald keeps on teasing me about my blog! “Scheduling me…” To be honest with you, it is kinda stupid sounding especially if it is the only thing that has been updated on your blog for over a month. I’m gonna get a little more serious about this thing. I think that it could be a great tool if I can stick to getting it updated and direct my leaders (hopefully you) to read it on a regular basis.

How lame can you get. Blogging about how you don’t blog enough… this is sure going to generate excitement and buzz and people from all over the US are going to want to spend time reading this.

ANYWAY, I’m back on, getting started for the 3 purposes of just a random thoughts, family update and most importantly leadership development, that is what my blog will be.

I got a great new idea (I’m sure that I had heard it before) from Mark Bricker our Education Pastor. We were talking about time management (always looking for tips) and the suggestion was made to put your to do or task list straight on your calendar. It sounded great so I’m going to try it. I’m actually going to schedule appointments with me. If you’ve heard it before don’t think I’m dumb, just think that I might start getting stuff done.

….there is nothing worth reading below… just a journey into collecting my thoughts.

So it has been a while, to say the least. So many cool things have gone on… and I’ve been out so much I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to remember them.

It is definitely cool how after a short time you feel like everything is normal. I know that is easier for me to say than Kristi, because obviously I’m not at home 24/7 with the little guy… but it would be safe to say that we both couldn’t imagine life any other way right now.

Since last time (just coming off vacation) I’ve been to Trinidad and back and had one of the busiest (most meeting filled week) in a long time. I guess that is what happens when you are out of the office two weeks straight. Upcoming is “Camp McG” kids camp here at McGregor, the whole family is coming with me, and I don’t have a ton of responsibility, so I’m going to spend some time planning and maybe shooting some video. After that we have the video shoot for Cubicles our fall leadership training that we are doing as an “Ed Staff” team…

I’m also going to get better about doing this…

I guess I should get better about blogging. I really haven’t done it in a long time. I’m just getting off a vacation, and you really can’t beat vacationing at home. OK… I could think of a million other places to go on vacation, but new babies and tight budgets create close proximities.

I’m getting ready to leave on the final “student ministry” activity, at least for a little while. We are heading today to Trinidad with our youth choir. I don’t really know what to expect, so I won’t expect anything accept for God to move bigtime.

While I’m sitting and waiting for my trip, I’m on the couch checking some of the blogs that I look at (oh yeah and writing this) Kristi is feeding Tyler and JP is on the floor watching some cartoons. We’ve had a huge change in our lives with the addition of Tyler, but strangly right now everything seems normal. We are so blessed. I’m going to figure out how I might be able to post blogs while I’m in trinidad…. if I don’t figure that out, you might not hear from me until my birthday.
