WOW! It has been an incredible couple of weeks. God is doing so much at Waters Edge Church and I’m consistently amazed that I get to be a part of it. Over the past 2 weeks we’ve seen 399 people go public with their faith by getting baptized! Whether it is people finding Jesus or Jesus finding people, IT is happening at WEC.
Last October Kristi and I were visiting WEC for the first time. We attended every service in Yorktown (the only campus at that time) on October 3rd and we were hooked. I’m sure it sounded like we were kissing up to get offered the job, but it was no joke when we told Stu and Rob that we couldn’t get enough. The services had everything that WEC is known for.. unexpected elements, excellent worship, baptism (one of the members of my current community group was baptized that day), and both of us were laughing, crying and captured by the services. It was like God was grabbing us and screaming this is where you need to be! We are grateful that it happened and I joined the staff on November 8, 2010.
It’s been an INCREDIBLE 2 weeks! 399 Baptized.
It’s been an AMAZING year. Costumes, pre-shows, welcomes, community groups, WEC Hampton!, amazing growth, bought in volunteers, Family Ministries, new staff, new friends.
It will be an SUPER FANTASTIC future. 3rd Campus and so much more to come for WEC. I’M STOKED!
