This week was totally not what I expected or had planned. It was a great week though, minus all the stuff I missed at work that I’m sure I will spend hours on come Monday. It all started… well I won’t bore you with the story, but the main part is that Kristi had gallbladder surgery, and the brochure shows the patient walking out with a smile and that was definitely not what happened. Here is the randomness of what I got to do. First — Major Props to any stay-at-home moms and dads out there. You guys are awesome, after a week of it, I’m in love with my wife so much more!! The boys were great, but every night I was worn out by 7 (totally out of shape). I’ve been good about trying to give Kristi a little break from time to time, but I totally have a different perspective now on how she feels after a full day. I had some time to get myself a little better organized as well. I’ve had a battle with my calendar and wanting to get it organized where it can be a tool for me and not a menace. I took time to do this on Monday and found some other tools to put in my arsenal, like “Things” task manager. I got to learn a lot about my boys. Tyler the youngest is incredibly affectionate. I already new this a little, but it was really cool this week that you don’t go too long while playing or sitting or anything really without Tyler giving me a hug an giving kisses (soaking it up now!!) Jonathan is intensely focused and smart. When he is really interested in something you can’t get his attention away from it. I’m sorry that my wife was upstairs in a lot of pain (or avoiding the pain through pain-killers) but I really had a great time hangin’ with my boys this week. Time to begin a new week. Thanks to everyone who was praying for our family! Kristi is doing extremely better compared to last Sunday. Oh the pics down there are random… I wanted to see how they looked on the page. The first is JJ eating a fried shrimp (he insisted on me taking it) and the second is us (the fam) out for the first time together in over a week! Looking forward to an awesome day of worship tomorrow!
Wow. It's Quiet Here...
